Wocka wocka wocka.

Found an interesting article on CNN's Mental Floss.

Identity of the Muppets

Growing up, I would look forward to watching The Muppet Show. I really liked the puppets, the singing, the dancing, and the general silliness that goes on during the show. I know that I never really knew who the guests were. Every so often Mom or Dad would give me some clue to what the person was famous for; but I'm sure it still wasn't very important to me.

I do remember one particular guest appearance, but I didn't form this idea till later. Alice Cooper once appeared on the show and it was then I realized one very important factor of what it means to be a performer. They are NOT always who they appear to be on stage.

On stage, Alice Cooper appears to be all that is evil, satanic, and goulish (I have a hard time even writing that because I KNOW that that is just a stage act). But in the show, he shows a softer, highly intellectual side. They of course end the guest appearance with a little black magic to keep you on your toes.

I thought later that he was the perfect example of how to be an entertainer. You take the stage and become that character. And when you leave the stage you lose that persona. I know that Alice Cooper did not always live the perfect life, but I think he is a good example.

So true....I feel the same way about Rob Zombie...I have seen Rob in concert a few times, but when seeing him on interviews and what not he is sooo intelligent and articulate!
