The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.

These are the Asiatic Lilies from the front yard. Thank you Helen for identifing them for me!

When we moved in last year I swear these plants were blooming white flowers. But this year, I've got these awesome pink ones

and also these that are yellow and pink.

When everyone else had blooms in their landscaping I was starting to get nervous about what was going to happen in mine. I didn't know what to do in the fall to prep for spring and when we had the siding done, the workers destroyed everything. So it was a nice surprize when it all grew back.

The Roses came in nicely this spring. They don't hang around long but, it's nice to see the buds. There are 4 light pinks and then a very dangerous vibrant pink and an extreamly dangerous yellow. Poor Meg is sporting a scar from a run in with the pink.

The Lavendar is keeping the bumble bees busy. Honestly there has been an average of about 4 to 5 buzzing around the cluster of it everyday. Again...really thought this stuff was dead up until this month.

So while I'd like to take credit for this awesome display of landscaping. I can't. It was all the seller. My only involvement was praying it all came back this year. I'm going to try and put in some borders. I want to use rocks...I think it's in the genes. Mom loved to landscape with rocks!

I planted Asian Lilies a few years back, and each year they come back bigger and with more flowers. Definitely a keeper.
